I was lagging like hell when I first logged in while Taraina, my auctioneer/banker character, was inside the Orgrimmar Auction House on the Executus server. It normally happens when there are too many players running around between the Auction House and Bank, so I just shrugged it off and let it pass. When I stepped out, however, I realized it wasn't because too many players were running around. It was because there were too many corpses lying on the ground, spelling out a URL.
Yes, those are corpses, not players using the /lie emote. While it's kind of annoying in general, one has to wonder how the hell they got there in the first place.
If you're a regular WoW player, you're probably used to people spamming the public channels, saying stuff like "GOOD NEWS! OUR WEBSITE CAN GIVE YOU 100 WOW GOLD FOR $10!!" or "POWERLEVELING AND WOW GOLD AVAILABLE AT *insert URL here*", and you probably know that it's easy to click on their names to Report and Ignore them. I guess this particular group of advertisers used this as a way to get around that, seeing as you can't really Ignore corpses that are lying around.
