The phrase "so hard to sell on poupee girl" turned up in my blog's Top Search terms recently, so I thought I'd write down some tips on selling stuff on PoupeeGirl based on my personal experience. There are three things I keep in mind when I'm selling items on PoupeeGirl, and hopefully they can also help anyone out there who's having a hard time selling items.
1. Check the Poupee Market for price references.
Once I decide to sell an item, I head to the Poupee Market to check the prices that the other players are selling the same item for. This proves to be kind of tedious given that the Market has no Search function, but I think it's necessary. The game doesn't provide default prices for the items, so other players' sale prices are all we have for reference. What I do is I look for the lowest price that the item is being sold for on the Market and use that as the basis for my own price.
2. Go for a reasonably low price.
After finding the lowest price that the item is being sold for in the Market, I either sell it for that same price or even lower. I recently sold a pair of Wide half pants/bl09G for 16 Ribbons when other players priced theirs at 33 Ribbons or more. Even though my Wide half pants were priced significantly lower, it still sold relatively fast while the other players' are still up for sale now. Personally, I think it's much better to go for a sure-fire sale rather than have to wait for a looong time for anybody to buy my item or to not have anyone buy it at all.
3. If it's too cheap, Recycle it instead.
Some items up for sale on the Market are priced below 5 Ribbons each. When I want to get rid of an item that has that kind of value in the Market, I usually don't bother selling it at all (unless I'm really desperate for Ribbons), and opt to Recycle it instead. Recycling an item earns you a Shell, and collecting five Shells gives you a chance to get a random item at the Shell Spring. If you don't like the item you got from the Shell Spring, then you can sell it or just Recycle it again.
I'm not that much of an expert in selling stuff on PoupeeGirl, but what I've been doing has been earning me a fair number of Ribbons thus far, so I think that I must be doing something right. Selling items isn't enough to earn you a lot of Ribbons though; for optimum Ribbon-earning without having to spend real money to buy them, just remember to post at least one item per day, dress-up your Poupee once per day, and post comments on other players' items.

I just started playing this, thank you for the tips. I did notice that part where it is tedious to look for an item you like from the market place. XD
No problem! If you need any more help, just let me know. :p
And yeah, that tedious searching bit is really annoying. I rarely ever use the Poupee Market these days because I’m too lazy to look for stuff.
can you please help me!?
i need to sell some items on the market
but everytime im at “please verify exhibition contents”
it gets stuck after that “now loading”
i dont know what im doing wrong maybe someone here can help?
xx
Hmm. I just tried selling an item, and I don’t have any problems with the “Please verify exhibition contents” page. Have you tried clearing your cache and refreshing the page before attempting to sell again?
You can always go on and lookup the item (it the name is translated into english) It will tell you the average price, etc. It’s so helpful~
I’ve tried that, but a lot of the prices are quite inaccurate compared to what I actually see in the market, so I don’t really recommend it. :-/I take this comment back – really is a helpful site! I’ll probably post about it sometime. Sorry about countering your helpful comment, Sharon!
I click recicle but i dont get any shells, any idea of whats the problem?
and how can i contact the poupee girl staff?
Did you click “Recycle” in the “Selling poupee items” section and then click “Recycle” again when the confirmation window popped up? I just tried it and got a Shell, so I’m not sure what the problem is on your end.
If you really need to contact the staff, go . The form is in Japanese though.
