According to My Blog Stats, Garrus is a Pimp
Apart from this self-explanatory screencap of my blog’s stats the past week, it might also be worth noting that the top search terms for my blog the past few days are “garrus romance” and “mass effect 2 garrus romance”.
[EDIT: The day I posted the entry about Garrus being a romance option, I got 173 pageviews, 95 of those being specifically views of that Garrus entry and the Garrus-related entry I posted earlier in the month. Two days later, I got 306 pageviews, 208 of those being views of my Garrus-related posts (there are three of them now). Wow. Just…wow.]
To all you Garrus lovers stumbling across my blog: You rock. Thank you for making me feel a little less weird about adoring a reptilian alien who looks nothing like a human being.
And for you who are willing to get spoiled out there, here’s another Garrus romance video that contains cuddling. Cuddling. With Garrus. If you don’t believe me, see for yourself:
… I really ought to stop giggling like a loon now.
I also phoned a local game shop yesterday to reserve a copy of Mass Effect 2 for Xbox 360. I honestly had no intention of getting the game so soon since newly-released games tend to be more expensive when usual, but after seeing all this Garrus luff, I couldn’t help it. I’m picking it up this weekend!
El Santos is a marketing & advertising professional by day and gamer/bookworm/tarot reader by night. She’s prone to sudden fits of fangirling over her varied interests: video games, fiction, art, folkore, anime, and tarot. She currently lives with her husband and 2 rescue cats.
“Giggling like a loon” you say. Oh heavens, since I have read your blog post I have been “giggling like a loon.” If I didn’t have to edit and re-write an article for my Print and Graphic editing class I would be flying the Normandy to Archangel right now… o_o It’s sad I have only played enough to get like three or four achievements. D:
Side note! I love your blog. I absolutely adore it! Kudos for being awesome. 😀
Consider yourself lucky; I haven’t even played it yet, argh! I can’t wait for the weekend! *_*
And thanks! I’m glad you like my blog. 😀
You know, the BioWare peeps should do “Garrus Vakarian” Google searches from time to time and see that your blog post abut Garrus as a romance option is like at the top!! Right under the Mass Effect Wiki about Garrus. When you’re at the top of Google, you’ve really made it. 😉 Congrats.
That is how I found your blog, googling Garrus Vakarian.
Bioware needs to take note of the fangirlism (great word) around this delightful turian and make sure he’s in the next game. Seriously.
I’m sure the BioWare people do their fair share of Google searches; after all, they noticed the fan reaction to Garrus (and Tali) in ME1 enough to put them in ME2, didn’t they? The ME/ME2 players over at the BioWare forums have threads devoted to Garrus love too, so I’m sure the game developers get the hint. XD
Hmm, that’s odd. When I search “Garrus Vakarian”, my blog isn’t on the first page; it’s on the second. Not bad, I guess. 😀

Nope, you’re weird. It’s weird. We’re just weird too. :p
Me, pointing at TV: “When you die that’s my next one.”
Hubby, perplexed: “What?”
Me: “Garrus!”
Hubby: “That’s a video game character.”
Me: “So?”
Hubby: “And an ALIEN”
Me: “So?”
Hubby: “YOU’RE INSANE”
Me: “Nyah!” =P
…As if he has room to talk after he spent 10 minutes adjusting gamma and camera angle in an attempt to figure out whether the tarp-covered female krogan had boobs. 🙄
I am so very, very glad I’m not the only one who has the hots for a reptilian alien. Turians seem to push all the right buttons for me and I melt a bit every time Garrus so much as appears on screen or gets mentioned.
