Let It Go: Watch the Singers Behind the Mic!
I’ve probably made it painfully obvious that I’m a big fan of “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen, and the internet is not making it any easier for me to move on with my life. Yahoo Movies just posted a video of the singers behind the voices featured in Disney’s 25-language Let It Go video. Check it out:
I absolutely love watching these ladies belting the song out with so much feeling! I especially LOVED the emotions expressed by Füredi Nikolett (Hungarian), Gisela (Spanish and Catalan), Marsha Milan (Malaysian), Maria Lucia Heiberg Rosenberg (Danish), Lisa Stokke (Norwegian), Anaïs Delva (French and Canadian French), and Elke Buyle (Flemish)!
This video also kind of confirmed my suspicion about Takako Matsu: her singing technique isn’t ideal for this song. Her voice sounded off to me because I thought there was something wrong with her technique/breathing, and looking at how she breathes in this video, I might have been right. Or maybe this is just me being an over-analytic biatch who happens to be a frustrated singer .
On a sidenote, I’m still sad that no one uploaded a clear version of the Serbian version of Let It Go (sung by Jelena Gavrilović). Have you HEARD this woman’s voice? It’s FANTASTIC.
