Thoughts on the New Beauty and the Beast Trailer
Thought #1: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
Thought #2: Ooh. OOH. So they used the Beauty’s-dad-is-a-rose-thief thing from the old fairytale in the movie. Cool, cool.
Thought #3: …I’m a little disappointed in the way she says “Come into the light,” here. It feels a little too…childish? Compared to the way I remember it, at least. But the dialogue leading up to it could have changed the context of the line, so I’ll let that slide.
Thought #4: Beast’s face looks…a little too CG? Fake? Painted on? IDK.
Thought #5: THAT GODDAMN MELODY GETS ME EVERY TIME.
Thought #6: Why does Ewan McGregor’s French accent sound so fake?
Thought #7: HE HAS ARMS AND LEGS. This is so weird.
Thought #8: …Chip’s character design is kind of disappointing?
Thought #9: …his mom’s is disappointing, too.
Thought #10: THE LIBRARY. THE LIBRARY!!! THE LIBRARY ERMERGERDDDDDDDD. And that dress. Girl, nice threads!
Thought #12: Sweet/cheesy lines won’t save your face from looking so fake, Beast.
Thought #13: Definitely seeing some of the Gaston’s old character designs combined with the final animated character’s here. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
Thought #14: Not really sure I like the design of the Feather Duster (aka Fifi/Marie/Babette) in this movie. And apparently her name is PLUMETTE now? Whut.
Thought #15: THAT MELODY AGAIN GODDAMMIT.
