Supergiant Games shared their plans for the of Hades II in Early Access
The studio is targeting to launch Hades II in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store in Q2, 2024. While the exact launch date, pricing, and system requirements will be revealed closer to the release, Supergiant Games emphasized their commitment to ensuring a substantial amount of content is available from day one, similar to the original Hades in Early Access.
Technical Tests to Precede Early Access Launch
To guarantee a smooth player experience, Supergiant Games intends to conduct a technical test just before the Early Access launch. It will involve a “limited sample of players” and primarily focus on identifying and addressing any technical and compatibility issues.
Supergiant Games acknowledges the significance of Early Access in shaping the development of Hades II, similar to how Early Access “was vitally important” to the original Hades.
“We believe the timeframe we’re planning for will be the ‘sweet spot’ where the game is far enough along that player feedback won’t mostly consist of stuff we already know isn’t there yet, but isn’t so far along that it’s too late in development for us to act on the feedback we receive.”

Major Updates Following Early Launch
Following the Early Access launch, Supergiant Games plans to release several Major Updates that expand the game’s core content, introduce new characters, and further develop the storyline. The final v1.0 launch will conclude the story and add finishing touches.
The exact timeline to get to Hades II v1.0 is uncertain, but for now, the studio is focused on creating core content, including environments, characters, weapons, boons, story events, and music, in preparation for the Technical Test and Early Access launch in Q2 2024.
